It was all quiet.
We saw snow one week in January of 2025. Wilmington doesn’t get snow, and we got 8 inches. It doesn’t often get quiet here, either; it’s a small city, but it’s bursting at the seams with people. The snow falls under the parking lot lights, which are in abundance, because Wilmington has an excessive amount of parking lots. While the city sleeps, its cars and mailboxes are covered with gentle snowfall. The streets are abandoned, more so respected, for two days. We venture out for a cappuccino and, in some noticeable way, the people were changed.
