Photography for the tender-hearted.
Hannah is a digital & film photographer from North Carolina and is currently based in Portland, Oregon. Her style is best described as journalistic, focusing on the natural condition of her subjects as memories unfold. She shoots and edits with a love of light & color, and seeks to preserve the integrity of a moment first and foremost.
“Photography, to me, is about bringing attention to what has the most value. It’s not about manipulation or how I can make something look— it’s about what’s in front of me. How would this moment look if I were to capture it with my own eyes? How does it look to be with these people, right here, right now? This is what I ask myself, and what I do my best to accomplish. It is my greatest privilege to come alongside clients and serve them in this way.”
FAQs
What kind of film do you use?
I primarily shoot with 35 mm film. I like to use Portra, Cinestill, and Ilford Black & White film stocks.
What kind of experience do you have?
I began my photography career in church ministry, which continued for about three years. After graduating college, I decided to take a more personal & artistic approach by taking photos of couples, which turned into weddings. I then discovered film photography and fell in love with the hands-on process. Three years later, I have been able to find my niche and refine my style into what it is today.
How much do you charge?
Weddings & Elopements begin at $3200 and include at least 6 hours of coverage and a next-day sneak peek. I offer further packages and additional film coverage, as well as a film lovers’ package.
My husband is a documentary wedding filmmaker if you’d like to book us together. See his work at WeddingsByHudson.com.
Portraits of couples, engagements, and families begin at $350.
Where are you located? Do you travel?
I am located in Portland, Oregon! I am booking for 2026 all over the PNW. I am always willing to travel outside of my local areas for weddings. I frequent Asheville, Wilmington, and Charlotte in North Carolina. Wedding packages do not include travel and are adjusted accordingly.
How do I know if we are a good fit?
Upon inquiring, we will set up a time to talk over your vision and any questions you might have. I will explain my approach and ask about your story & creative needs, and from there, we can figure out if I’m the best option for you!
We are a good fit if you align with my value of observant & truthful photography. I do not curate moments based on inspiration or another person’s photos. Your wedding day is unique to you & the people in your life, and I don’t think it gets more beautiful than that.
